A reboot of the Spyro franchise, featuring lots of new characters in addition to the purple dragon. The game makes use of a special peripheral and collectible figurines to represent characters in the game.

The Story
As the player, you take on the role of a Portal Master, an individual with the power to send Skylanders in and out of the game. An evil Portal Master has cast all the Skylanders out of their magical world, where theyve frozen and shrunk into collectible figurines.

The game will eventually have more than 30 playable characters. Here are the details (provided by Activision) on the characters we have so far.

Despite this setback, Ignitor remains a spirited knight who is always fired up to protect the lands from evil and find the witch that tricked him.

Bio: Eruptor is a force of nature, hailing from a species that lived deep in the underground until a volcano launched their entire civilization onto the crust. To help control his temper, he likes to relax in lava pools, particularly because there are no crowds.
Multiplayer
Skylanders Spyros Adventure will feature both cooperative and competitive multiplayer. Online functionality hasnt been announced.
Hows It Looking*
The world seems bright and colorful, but the gameplay doesnt seem to be anything special from what weve seen so far.
